Dr. Gloria Lee has been a psychologist for over 50 years. Her inspirational journey began in the military, where she served as a humanitarian and soldier during the Vietnam War. Dr. Lee became the first woman, as well as the first Black woman, to lead two refugee camps in Cambodia and Malaysia, working with the International American Red Cross. She drew inspiration from the pioneering all-Black, all-female Women’s Army Corps (WAC) 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion unit, which was deployed overseas during World War II. She honors their legacy, recognizing that she stands on their shoulders.
