08 Ezekiel Pettway, Sr.
Ezekiel Pettway, Sr., was born in Wilcox County, Alabama, and educated in its school system. Pastor Pettway is a man of many callings. In 1979, he answered the call to “Protect and Serve” his fellow countrymen through his dedicated service in the United States Armed Forces. He served for eleven years; eight years in the Army and three years in the Army National Guard. During his service to his country, he was called to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1984. In his quest to fulfill his callings, he attended the National Business College (Colorado), Labette Community College and Selma University. He received a B.S. Degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry in 2011. In August 2002, he was called to Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church. His mission is to take the Gospel to the whole city of Montgomery. Under his leadership, the 2.4-million-dollar Dream Center came into fruition in September 2008. Pastor Pettway is married to the former Pamela Dawn Jameson. In this marriage, God blessed them with four children: Darrell Moseley, Ezekiel, Jr., Michelli, and Sasha’. He and his wife are the proud grandparents of nine grandchildren.
